Help! I cannot find install icon.

When first booting Cotton, you should login as root - the password is toor. You should then see on the desktop a shortcut called 'Install Cotton'. Double-click on the icon and select Launch Anyway if prompted. (This prompt will be removed in future releases). Follow the installation prompts. In the event there is no install icon on the root desktop, try typing in terminal: ubiquity.

Help! My desktop does not match Cotton screenshots

Unfortunately when you install Cotton or boot it for the first time, you will notice that there is no desktop wallpaper. I am researching this bug but in the meantime you can easily add a desktop wallpaper by right clicking on the desktop and selecting Desktop Settings... Here you can chose from Cottons wallpaper collection or chose your own custom image.

(Update: I seem to have found the issue and will be fixed in future release)
